I have a TB account to access email from my Verizon primary email account. I would like to set up another TB account to access email from my Verizon secondary account. I find it impossible to figure out how to use File/New/Mail account. The dialog box only lists Gandi!! which I do not wish to use.

Run the new account wizard and choose 'File - New - Existing Mail Account'. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatic-account-configuration

I tried to set up the new account with with File-New-Existing Mail Account". but I got the error message "Excepiton..."Componnt returned failure code: 0x80520015....". Then I got the message " Incoming server already exists". The the message "Username or password invalid". Now I know that the user name and password are valid since I sent an email to the address and could open verison with the user name and password to read the message.

I had set up the account in TB years ago and deleted it about 2 years ago. However the My Saved Passwords window shows the address and password is still in TB. Could this be what is causing the problem?

At which step did you get the "Incoming server already exists" error? What is your version of Thunderbird?

What account are you talking about? You mentioned a 'Verizon primary email account' in your OP, and a 'Verizon secondary account'.

It probably doesn't hurt to delete any old saved passwords.
