Junk mail folder does not indicate number of messages
Recently had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Tbird. But now all folders except for the Junk folder will indicate how many messages are in them. How do I get the Junk folder to indicated the number of messages in it?

Probably you mark junk as read in options
In options I have unchecked mark messages determined to be junk as read
If they dont show up there maybe you need to subscribe to the junk-folder thats on the server. (Gmail call it SPAM)
