plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types;application/pdf

change to ... plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types; (null string)

This does not rectiify the problem for me; if i restart it just reverts to 'application/pdf' again.

Also, I am unable to 'Add Image' here - selecting does nothing (just highlights).

Hello,

In order to change the default reader for PDF files (to not open PDF files with Firefox's internal PDF reader), follow these steps:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and click Options (Preferences for Linux and Mac).
  2. In the Options (Preferences for Linux and Mac) window, select the Applications panel.
  3. In the Search field, type PDF. You should find Portable Document Format (PDF).
  4. On the right hand side you should find an Action column. Use that to select your favorite PDF reader. In order to view PDF files in Firefox, choose Preview in Firefox.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Hi Guigs,

Thank you for helping.

For me (Mac OSX 10.8.5), I could not see Preferences under the menu button, though I found Preferences under Firefox > Preferences.

From there, I found Applications and I was able to find PDF and select the Action type as you described.

I previously had 'Use Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in' selected. I changed this to 'Preview in Firefox'.

I tried a couple of random PDF links, but alas, no joy :( still blank screen after selecting.

Anyone else have similar set up as me under V 36 and got it working? .. maybe I have another plug-in blocking causing problems or something??

Anyway, thanks for taking the time out to try and help Guigs  :)

Cheers,

Colin
