if i delete all occurences of a regular event does it delete the past as wellas the future?

I have a regular meeting for some time, but these have now stopped. I set up the regular meeting into the future. If I say delete all occurences will it delete those i8n the past that I want to keep as a record as well as the ones in the future that I no longer need?

I have tested the following appoach:

  • right click on the event, open, and select 'Edit all occurrences'
  • select Repeat -> Custom
  • change the 'Repeat until' date to the day after the last date you want to keep
  • Save and close

Apparently the ending date is NOT inclusive.
