How do I make the menu bar on Thunderbird (alt key) permanent?

I am able to make the menu bar on Thunderbird appear by pressing the Alt key but it goes away after a while. Can I make it permanent and how?

  1. Righ-click on the menu bar
  2. Check the option Menu Bar

or

  1. Press Alt or F10 to see the menu bar
  2. Click on the menu View >> Toolbars
  3. Check Menu Bar
