How do I display all messages, both read and unread in my inbox?

Let's say I open my inbox and I read a few emails. If I close out and reopen my emails the ones I just read are gone...they're not displayed anymore. I want to see all my messages, both read and unread messages. How do I fix this problem?

From the menu bar select View-Threads-All.

No menu bar showing? Press the alt key.
