Some bug seems to have found my firefox. Tabs open and unwanted software tried to load pages. Probably adware. Virgin Mobile was one of the pages.

When I leave my computer for a few minutes - some page tried to be loaded on firefox. Firefox stops it, but there I am left with a warning, a blank white screen from the attempted load of whatever malware it is. It's really frustrating because I am light sensitive. A blank white screen out of no where is quite shocking to my nerves. I hope we can figure this out sooner than later. Is it possible I have a browser bug ? How do you get rid of malware on your firefox?

Hello Sweetsilverbird, I'm sorry to hear that you have malware on your computer. From what you have said I think you have some type of adware on your computer. They tend to advertise things. They often come as part of free software and can be quite annoying. The good news is I am here to help you get rid of that and it is quite easy.

So the first step is we are going to need to get some anti virus software on your computer. I recommend taking a look at this support article . Near the bottom it has a list of some free legitimate anti virus. Personally I would recommend Malwarebytes. After you pick one, all you have to do is download and install it. After that update it and run a scan and it will remove the thing that is causing so many problems for you.
