I keep getting duplicate emails.
This appears to be a common problem and the suggested solution is to delete some files in Thunderbird and if this does not solve the problem then to set Thunderbird to delete the emails from the pop account automatically.
I want to keep the files in the POP account and manually delete them from time to time.
I suspect that this problem is about a year or two old.
Help please!

Update.
Today is the first time that I have received triplicates!
re :the suggested solution is to delete some files in Thunderbird
Popstate.dat files keep record of what has been downloaded. This file is located in your Profile name folder. Did you follow the instructions regarding deleting this file ?
Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, I have deleted this.
I have been thinking about the problem overnight and have re-checked my server settings.
I had not ticked the "leave messages on server" box although the "until I delete them" box was ticked.
I have now ticked this box and will delete the Thunderbird files and see what happens.
Karl.
Looks like the problem has been fixed.
Thanks
Karl.
