Why does the addressee change in the message after selection from Address Book?
I have several people named "Bob" in my address book. When I start to type the name, the list appears, I select the one I want, then tab to the Subject box. As soon as I leave the address field, the selected name changes to a different "Bob" name and address.
I am running Windows 8.1 and Thunderbird 31.3.0. Extensions installed are Classic Toolbar Buttons 1.4.5, Compact Header 2.0.9, Extra Folder Columns 1.1.5, and Lightning 3.3.2. Plugins installed are Adobe Acrobat 11.0.10.32, Intel Identity Protection Technology 4.0.5.0, and Shockwave Flash 15.0.0.246.
Any help would be appreciated.
Larry

This is known and reported bug which the developers are working on as a critical fix. Please note this bug only occurs if you use TAB or ENTER.
Two options, but I recommend option 2. 1. If you use your mouse to select email address and use mouse to move to next line then it does not occur.
2. Suggest you use this method. This method does not require using the TAB or ENTER keys, so will not produce the bug.
In new Write mesage.
- Use the Contacts Sidebar
- 'View' > 'Contacts sidebar' or toggle view using f9 key.
- select address book Select contact(s)
- click on 'Addto TO' button or other options.

This is not a 'chat' or 'support' forum, it is used for reporting bugs and the developers will use it, So do not enter comments unless adding new useful data, but you can vote for it. You would need to register in order to vote etc.
