I have a thunderbird account using a btinternet.com email address. I'm going on holiday and would like to access my emails from local computers. Can I do it.

If you are using a POP account and do not have Thunderbird set to leave messages on the server, after Thunderbird checks the mail on the server there is nothing left there to see. When you go on holiday, give your computer a holiday too and turn it off. Then the messages stay on the server so you can see them using web mail.
