_____________________________________ My internet provider Brighthouse replaced my router modem today, and now I can not receive my emails thru Thunderbird. I receive error message mail server pop-server account is currently inactive. Help. _____________________________________

I would guess brighthouse have messed up some of the settings in the modem, or they have done much more than change your modem, like change you user name or even your email address, I suggest you speak with them and check out what they did and what their explanation for the error message is.

Please keep us informed

Tell brighthouse to disable IPV6 in your new router and reboot it (or do it yourself if you can.) Most weird errors, especially with road runner is their inability to grasp the concepts of ipv6 and implement them. Your old modem would not have had ipv6 support
