Downloaded Firefox and it will work in dmg mode but won't show up in application folder even if I drag it there.
It will run fine (but slow) until I turn off my computer. When I turn it back on, I need to click the image disk as if it had not been installed.
Chosen solution
Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.
Open the Firefox disk image file and drag the Firefox program into the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.

Beyond that, I can't help you - never had a Mac.
Don't forget to drag Firefox into your main Applications folder. You can then run Firefox from there, and delete the disk image.
Good morning Scott, I did this many times already and only the image disk will show up in the application folder.
