If you have POP mail accounts then these could be set up to use a Global Inbox(Local Folders) account. See info:

IMAP mail accounts cannot be set up to a Global Inbox.

If you have POP and/or IMAP mail accounts, there is a 'Unified' view. This a quick method of instantly changing the view in the Folder Pane. 'View' > 'Folders' > 'Unified' or 'Menu Icon' > 'Folders' > 'Unified' this shows eg: a top level 'Inbox' with all Inbox emails displaying in that one Inbox. It willl also show all the separate mail account Inboxes as sub folders.

This means that you can click on the small arrow to the left of the top level Inbox to hide or display the separate sub folder Inboxes.

the Unified view will also be applied to all your default Thunderbird folders eg: Drafts, Sent, Archives, Junk, Deleted/Trash followed by separate Personally created folders per account.
