Hello, I hope you can help me: When scrolling on a page, particularly e-mail, the page goes blank and then takes a second or two to 're-set' when I stop scrolling. This means, if I have a long e-mail thread, I cant see how far down I am scrolling so have to guess where I need to get to. Very frustrating and not very practical! Is there any way around this...? I am using a Mac OSX 10.8.5 I'd appreciate your help, thanks.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
