I am running TB 31.2.0., although I believe this problem started with a slightly earlier version. I must have inadvertently done something to cause all of these numerous "emails" to appear under the junk folder in the message pane. I have pasted two examples below. If I delete them, they come back. I would like to permanently delete them or move them. Thank you.

If you have the Thunderbird profile in your backup you can extract it to a temporary place and then import the mail under pop3.centurytel.net from there into the current profile.

I've been away and just returned. I'm pretty sure I have the Thunderbird profile available to me in at least one location, Carbonite. I just opened it but decided I don't want to spend the time on this now. When most of my emails were deleted, the last 50 or so remained. So far, I have not needed any of the deleted ones. If I do, I'll head for Carbonite. I'm not sure if this is relevant to anything, but in browsing around my hard drive a few minutes ago looking for the Thunderbird Profile, I came across two large folders named "Profiles". The file name in both cases is "ashhiy6g.default". I also have two large folders named "Thunderbird" in Files, named "Profiles." If I open this file I get the same file folder, "ashhiy6g.default". If I open that folder I get five files that mean nothing to me. I'm really not asking you to think about this or tell me what to do. As I said, I'm very pleased with how things turned out and I consider the matter resolved. Thank you for all of the time and patience you put into this issue.

Eric
