Characters disappeared after installing new Firefox version

I installed yesterday the new Firefox version and immediately after that any character on the browser disappeared. There are no more characters on the site as no more in browser's menu. Nothing.

What could it be? How can it be resolved?

This could be the same problem other users are reporting as a white screen or black screen, caused by an incompatibility between Firefox 33 and some older graphics card/chipset drivers.
