Make this a optie within optie's advance/general. So you don't have to right click on bin and empty bin, but just put a mark on optie empty bin when closing thundirbird.

There are different ways to access Account Settings: Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the mail account or Menu icon > Options > Account Settings > Server Settings for the mail account or right click on mail account name in folder Pane and select 'Settings' then choose Server Settings for the mail account

Under 'Message Storage' select 'Empty Deleted folder on Exit'

You will need to set this for each mail account. click on OK to save changes.
