Backup Restoration of Subfolders

On my backup set, I can see the subdirectory file folders with e-mails, but I cannot get them into a mail account (they are all .msd). What is the simplest way to achieve this, I can get the inbox, the sent, the trash, but not the subfolders. Thank you.

Thunderbird has no MSD files. I can only assume your backup solution creates them. Perhaps that is the place to start in trying to restore them.
