hello, when you type about:sync-log into the address bar and open the latest one or two error logs, can you copy their contents and put them into http://pastebin.mozilla.org/ or a similar service and paste a link here on the forum? this would be very helpful in assessing the problem. thank you!

It looks like it is failing to get keys and the keys it has are not authenticating.

Please first make a back up of the profile Manually back up and restore Firefox profile data

  1. Then remove the account from Preference/Options > Sync
  2. then readd the account by logging in at accounts.firefox.com
  3. Wait for a bit, get a cup of tea
  4. If its still not syncing try Tools > Sync Now

Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.


Try to remove the Weave folder in the Firefox profile folder and delete the prefs.js file to reset all prefs and maybe also delete the compatibility.ini file to reinitialize the profile.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

@nikathanas On the filed bug, there is an engineer taking a look at the logs, however they have since expired. Is there a chance you can copy the logs into a comment in the bugzilla bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1073270 or create a new pastebin that will not expire.

As an update, another user had a similar error, but resolved this by temporarily removing the account and adding it back. There were some migrations going on, however I am not sure if this affected your account.
