Why will FireFox not work on my system? (Windows 7) Help.
This is the error message I receive when attempting to open FireFox
"Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."
I do not like using any of the "Brand-X" browsers and I wish to have FireFox working again. My operating system is Windows 7.
Please help. I do not know what to do.
Thank you,

Mark, I should have mentioned, if you DO see any profiles listed, DO NOT DELETE any of them. That would be unrecoverable.

There is a support article on this: How to run Firefox when your profile is missing or inaccessible.
But to quickly see whether you have a Firefox profile folder in the expected location, you can paste the following in the Start menu search box and press Enter:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox
Does that folder exist and, if so, do you see a folder named Profiles and a settings file named profiles.ini?
If you click into the Profiles folder, is there anything recent there?
Also, can you recall any changes before this problem started, whether Firefox update, Windows update, or other software change?
Again I will post this question/concern. Someone out "there" will surely have an answer.

Had you install mozilla for mozilla official site ?
I asked this question yesterday but did receive any viable options to get FireFox to function on my system.
The error message is as follows; "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."
Is there a better way to download FireFox? Do I need a separate disc? I honestly do not know what to do or where to go for advice and assistance.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I look forward to your reply.

Mark, could you answer the question I asked yesterday about whether you actually HAVE a profile folder: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1021842#answer-632745
If this is a brand new installation of Firefox and you do not care about any preexisting Firefox data such as bookmarks, please let me know, since then I would have different suggestions.
Also, to download a new installer for Firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

No there is no FireFox Profile folder of any type. There are no more FireFox folders in my system.there and see what happens.
I will let you know.
I have not been to the above web site you recommend, but I will try downloading from

jscher2000,
I did as you suggested and I continue to get the following error message--->"Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible".
Am I not holding my mouth right?
Thank you again.

Could you try starting Firefox in the Profile Manager and create a new profile? Here are the steps:
Start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):
firefox.exe -P
This should display a dialog. Normally, at least one existing profile is listed, but it sounds as though yours will be empty.
Click the Create Profile button and choose any name you like for the profile. Skip the option to customize the folder location and save your new profile. Then select it in the box and start Firefox in that new profile.
Does it run?

Glad to hear Firefox runs well in the new profile. If you need to recover any old data (lost bookmarks, etc.), please post back for further suggestions.
