I have tried numerous times on this computer to install Firefox, but it never opens. For awhile I was getting an error message, but now even that has stopped. I try to open the application from the Start Menu or pinbar, and nothing happens. Even uninstalling and reinstalling does not help. Even updating does not help. I have no idea what is happening.

Hello CarrieLynn,

try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) and check it again.

(If works in Windows Safe mode then maybe you have a problem with other software, like security software[antivirus, firewall] or a system driver, that is running on your computer).

thank you

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
