incoming vcalendar emails not formatted - need an updated addon
I'm receiving Outlook vcalendar emails and they are not formatted in a readable way. I downloaded an add-on but now see that it only works with Thunderbird versions up to 24. I'm using V32. Is there a newer version available? Thanks!

Did you try the (unstated) add-on in TB 32, even though the message appears that it's 'incompatible'? Or, did it not even install? Many add-ons work in TB versions newer than the 'advertised' max. version, and many 'incompatible' add-ons can be installed after this add-on is installed.
Edit: The add-on that imports vCalendar (.vcs) files is probably this one:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/vcs-support/
It explicitly states that Lightning must already be installed.

Are you trying to decode winmail.dat attachments? If so, try this add-on, which claims to work with TB 1 - 32:

No, it's not a problem with attachments at all. It's the body of the email. It looks like it's in HTML, but it's really a special format that Outlook uses to send meeting information. It's called vcalendar and will write appointments to Outlook, and let you accept or reject the invite. I don't use Outlook so I don't care about that part, I just need to be able to read the information. But thanks for the idea!

Modified
I installed the add on but my invitations are still unreadable. Is this add on supposed to reformat the email? Or load the invite to Outlook? Doesn't seem to have done either.
I think I've got it fixed. I installed Lightning - the Mozilla calendar. I can read the emails now!! Thanks to all for your ideas....
