The task bar used to be attached to the right hand side of the inbox and it has disappeared to a tab at the back, help??

The question is in the sentence really; I had my Thunderbird open and moved it across the screen, at which point the task pane ie Lightning moved itself to a position behind on a tab and a, I don't know how I did it and b, I wish I hadn't. Please can you help me restore it to the side again?
