I need a sent folder for my additional identity but can't find the way to add it (pop3)

I added an additional identity, went through the settings process, but unable to add a 'sent' folder. My main identity has one and I am on a pop3 service.

Each additional identity in a Thunderbird email account has its own settings, including a "Copies & Folders" tab under Manage Identities > Edit.

You will need to create the folder in advance to be able to choose it there, though.
