Thunderbird 31.0: Open tabs not saves on exit
When I close Thunderbird 31.0 with open tabs and restart it again the formerly tabs aren't restored. The same problem I have with the selected account folder. At start-up Thunderbird doesn't remember it. With the former versions this worked without any problem. Thanks, Herbert

Use "Manually sort folders 1.1" instead of "Folderpane Tools add-on" and it works.

Do you have folderpane tools addon installed?
Folderpane tools isn't compatible with Thunderbird 31.0.
Do you use CCleaner? it deletes session files and this and the preview pane will not stay turned off are common results.
Gentlemen,
everyone has partially truth, but no solution.
1. CCleaner can really delete the sessions (tabs) last saved, but only if U use it (only once, after cleaning).
2. Folderpane Tools add-on is really incompatible with TB 31.0 (some bug occures - somethink like (these is my translation only): "!Bad analysis XML: unidentified entity Placing: chrome://folderpane/content/folderpanePref.xul Row 263, column 19: <menuitem label="&filemessageschoosethis.label;") </p>
3. Folderpane Tools is the exact trouble!
If U want to have saved last session (tabs) U need to uninstall Folderpane Tools. And voileau, after restarting your tabs are there. (I had the same trouble as hklay. After reading this threath I uninstalled Folderpane Tools and everythink is like before).
