My email capacity is almost full (96%). Is there a way that I can backup my emails in order to reduce this capacity. In my line of work I need to filter through older emails and can't afford to delete them

Archiving your older emails would be a good solution. It will free up space in your inbox and other folders.

Were do you get the message from - the server, or Thunderbird? What is your account type - POP or IMAP?

The version of thunderbird that I have is 24.6.0. My memory is at 99% and I cannot download the ImportExport add-on to back up my emails.

Please help.
