How can I transfer my Address Book to my iPhone?
I'd like to copy my Address Book to my new iPhone and then Synch it occasionally. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,

I'm using the same version of the add-on, and as you can see the vcf option exists here, on Windows 7. Restart TB and see if the option appears.
Try the Export as csv option and see if the same method works.

With my Blackberry and Android devices, I synchronize them to a Google Contacts account. There are several add-ons that allow a Google Contacts account to be synched with Thunderbird's address book.
I am not familiar with the iPhone, but I would look for a similar approach. You could of course export an address book from Thunderbird to a file, but I don't know what formats the iPhone uses, not what system you could use to transfer a file into its address book.
Once you have your Address Book exported to a single vCard (.vcf) file, attach the file to a message and send it to your iPhone, then open the attachment and follow the prompts to add the contacts to the phone.

The trick is to use this add-on to export address books to a vcf file: MoreFunctionsForAddressBook. In Address Book, Tools/MoreFunctionsForAddressBook/Actions for addressbooks/Export as vcf (for iPod).
Thanks. I read the tips and tricks and can't seem to figure out how to get all my addresses into a single .vcf file. Export from T-bird wants to make an individual .vcf file for each contact.
I tried the last trick using iCloud, created a single .VCF file but got an error that said the Import function had a problem reading the .vcf file, but no more explanation. Any ideas?
Did you install the add-on and export the address book as shown in the picture below?
I did but my version of the add-on doesn't offer the choice of "Export as vcf (for iPod)". I'm using version 0.6.11.2

Emailed a .csv file to myself, clicked on the attachment and all that happened was that it gave me the name of the file, the size (25KB) and that it was a comma-separated values.
My apologies, one of the methods must have worked because all my contacts are there.
If I want to synch my T-bird addresses with my iPhone using the export to.vcf as explained above, will I have a lot of duplicates?
