There is a root certificate aka Authority (Builtin Object Token) by "Turktrust" that I want to get rid of. There has already been a question about this certificate with a wholly unsatisfactory and patently, unacceptable response by Mozilla (that root certificates cannot be deleted).

The aforementioned "authority" is a part of the Turkish Armed Forces and is a cloak for monitoring users' behaviours by Turkish authorities. What Mozilla is doing in this case is facilitating governments to spy and monitor users, something which is of course not only illegal, but morally reprehensible.

  • PLEASE REMOVE THIS CERTIFICATE PERMANENTLY* it is absolutely unacceptable!!!

You can't remove built-in root certificates, but you can remove the trust bits by clicking the Edit button. This will prevent using the certificate as root certificate.

Note that Firefox is quite strict in which root certificates are included by default.
