how to turn on the status bar in ver. 24.6?

I'm running 2 accounts of TB ver. 24.6 and the status bar at the bottom is off in the older account. I'm not using Add Block plus or any other ver. of this. So why can't I see the status bar? Thanks

Go to Menu bar (press Alt or F10 to show), go to View >> Toolbars >> check Statur bar
