I get the message can't contact live.mozillamessaging.com when trying to get my messages.

I have Firefox configured to download my email messages from Yahoo but for the past 3 or 4 days Firefox keeps give the error message of " can not contact live.mozillamessaging.com " and it will not download any email messages. I have tried reinstalling the Firefox to no avail. Can someone please help me?

That site is used for the little welcome message that appears below your Inbox when you first start Thunderbird.

We had a thread about the site earlier this year where another user was getting a certificate error. Turned out there was some malware on the computer. Here is that thread for reference: live.mozillamessaging.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.

You may want to do some supplemental scans. This support article lists tools other Windows users have found helpful: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
