Emails that are sent to me are getting an error message and the sender isn't sure I received the e-mail - how do I fix this?

I used to get my messages without using a password - now I have to enter the password twice when I open Thunderbird. I received an e-mail from an organization I subscribed to and they informed me that they took me off their list because they kept receiving error messages when they sent me a message. I don't know if this is happening with others but could be. Do I have a virus or is there something wrong with the operating system on my computer for Thunderbird? Thanks for any help you may offer

That is your mail providers server blocking what it probably considers a hacking attempt. Regardless your mail provider is the one you need to communicate with.
