This article will help you learn how to install and use some of the most commonly used social media websites such as Google, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

This way, your Firefox OS phone will help you Search, Watch and Socialize whenever you need it!

Access your favorite apps

  • Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are all available in the Marketplace. So the quickest way to install them is to open the Marketplace app, search for the ones you want and tab the blue Free button. For more, see Installing apps.
    Install Facebook
  • For things not listed in the Marketplace, try the Apdaptive Search. Here, for example, you'll find many Google products (Google+, Google Maps, Google Translate and more). For details, see Search and discover content.
    Everything Google
  • Google Search is built-in to Firefox. Just type a search term in the address bar and hit Enter. For more, see Visit websites on Firefox OS.
  • Gmail is supported in the Firefox OS Email app. To set it up, see Add email accounts.

Facebook

Importing contacts

When creating your contact list, you can either choose to import your contacts from Facebook or import them from your SIM card and synchronize them later with your Facebook contacts.
Either way you go, you'll then be able to access their profile, post on your friends wall or send a private message directly from your Contacts app.

Twitter

Note: This feature is available in Firefox OS version 1.1 and higher. Not sure what version of Firefox OS you have? Here's how to find out.
