Keyboard Support
Thunderbird has extensive keyboard shortcuts to allow you to perform tasks inside Thunderbird faster. See the Keyboard Shortcuts support page for more information.
If you use a screen reader, there are specific keyboard actions that work with your screen reader. We are updating our support documentation to list these keyboard actions for screen readers.

Windows
On Windows, the following screen readers have been tested to work with Thunderbird.
The following screen readers have not been thoroughly tested with Thunderbird, but are available on Windows.
- Narrator (Windows default)
- Windows Eyes (commercial)
Mac
On macOS, the following screen readers have not been thoroughly tested with Thunderbird, but are available on macOS.
- VoiceOver (macOS default)
Linux
On Linux, the following screen readers have not been thoroughly tested with Thunderbird, but are available on Linux operating systems.
- Orca (GNOME default)
Font Size
115 and greater
There have been significant updates in 115 to improve the ability to adjust the font size throughout the application.
You can reach the font size settings in two locations:
- From the application menu, you can go to View then Font Size. Select Increase or Decrease Font Size. - From the Thunderbird menu, find font size, select the plus icon to increase the font size. Select the minus icon to decrease the font size. This Thundebird menu icon is in the upper right for left to right reading languages and upper left for right to left. The icon looks like three parallel lines.
