I forgot my Mozilla account password and I can't sign in to Mozilla VPN

If you’ve forgotten your Firefox Accounts password, reset it to a new password, then log in to Mozilla VPN with your new password.

Note: You may lose some of your synced browsing information if you reset your password without recovery keys. We will be able to recover your payment information but not your browsing information, bookmarks and logins.

Reset your Firefox Account from a Windows 10 device

  1. Click the Firefox Account icon in the toolbar.

  2. Click Manage Account.
  3. On the Firefox Account page, click Change next to Password.
  4. Follow the steps to enter your old and new passwords, then click Change to finish.

Once you’ve changed your password, log in to Mozilla VPN with your new password.

Reset your Firefox Account from an Android device

  1. Open the Firefox application and visit https://accounts.firefox.com/.
  2. Type your Firefox Account email and click Continue.
  3. When you're asked to enter a password, click Forgot Password.
  4. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
Any data you have on the server will be erased when you reset your password (unless you use recovery keys). Your other devices will stop synchronizing unless you update them with the new password.
Once you’ve changed your password, log in to Mozilla VPN with your new password.

Reset your Firefox Account from an iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Firefox app.
  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap the menu button (the menu will be at the top right if you're using an iPad):

  3. Tap Sign in to Sync (or your username if you’re logged in).
  4. Tap Manage Account & Devices or if you’re on the ‘’Firefox Account’’ page, tap Change next to ‘’Password’’.
  5. Tap ‘’’Forgot password?’’’ and follow the prompts to recover your password.
