What happens to my passkeys?
When you delete your Mozilla account, any passkeys associated with that account will no longer work for signing in to Mozilla services.
Deleting your Mozilla account:
- Removes the association between your account and its registered passkeys
- Prevents those passkeys from being used to sign in to the deleted account
However, deleting your Mozilla account does not automatically remove passkeys from your devices, browsers, password managers, or security keys. You may still see those passkeys listed there after the account has been deleted.
If you no longer need them, you can remove the passkeys manually using your device's or password manager's passkey management tools.
Delete sync data
You can also delete synced data on a device you are signed into with your Mozilla account if you don't wish to delete your Mozilla account.
