Pocket is a feature that's built into Firefox. You need to have a Pocket account in order to save articles with the Pocket button which is found in the address bar. Learn more about how to remove this Save to Pocket functionality.

Disable Save to Pocket for Firefox
To turn off the Save to Pocket functionality in Firefox follow these steps:
- Type about:config in the address bar and press EnterReturn.
A warning page may appear. Click to go to the about:config page. - Type "pocket" in the Search box above the list of preferences.
- Double-clickClick the Toggle
button next to the extensions.pocket.enabled preference to toggle its value to false.
Re-enable Save to Pocket for Firefox
- Type about:config in the address bar and press EnterReturn.
A warning page may appear. Click to go to the about:config page. - Type "pocket" in the Search box above the list of preferences.
- Double-clickClick the Toggle
button next to the extensions.pocket.enabled preference to toggle its value to true.
Hide the Pocket button in your Address Bar
When Pocket is enabled, a Pocket button appears in the address bar whenever you're on a page that can be saved. You can remove the Pocket button from the address bar without disabling Pocket.
- Right-clickHold down the control key while you click
the Pocket button (or right-click the button) and click on .
- Pocket will remain enabled and the Page Actions (three-dot) menu will still include a Pocket entry so you can bring this button back at any time.
Remove Save to Pocket similar story recommendations
If you prefer not to see similar stories when you click to save to Pocket, you can turn this feature off.
- Type about:config in the address bar and press EnterReturn.
A warning page may appear. Click to go to the about:config page. - Type "pocket" in the Search box.
- Click the Toggle
button next to the extensions.pocket.onSaveRecs preference to toggle its value to false.
- Restart Firefox
You will no longer see article suggestions when you save links to your Pocket account.
