Cookies - Information that websites store on your computer are stored on your computer by websites you visit and contain information such as site​ pref​eren​ces ​or logi​n stat​us. This article describes how to delete cookies in Firefox.

  • To clear your browsing history, cookies, and temporarily cached files at once, see Clearing Private Data.

Delete cookies for a single site

To delete cookies for one site:

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version.Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.

Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the History section.

  • In the drop-down menu next to Firefox will, choose Use custom settings for history.
    1. Click Show Cookies.... The Cookies window will appear.

    2. In the Search: field, type the name of the site whose cookies you want to remove. The cookies that match your search will be displayed.
    3. Select the cookie(s) in the list to remove and click Remove Cookie.

      • Select the first cookie and press Shift+End to select all the cookies in the list.
    1. Click Close to closeClose the Cookies window.

    Delete cookies for a single site

    To delete cookies for one site:

    2. Select the Privacy panel.
    3. Click Show Cookies.... The Cookies window will appear.
    4. In the Search: field, type the name of the site whose cookies you want to remove. The cookies that match your search will be displayed.
    5. Select the cookie(s) in the list to remove and click Remove Cookie.
      • Select the first cookie and press Shift+End to select all the cookies in the list.
    1. Click Close to closeClose the Cookies window.
    2. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

    Delete all cookies

    To delete all cookies stored on your computer:

    1. Click on the Tools menu and select Clear Recent History....
    2. Set Time range to clear to Everything.
    3. Click on the arrow next to Details to expand the list of history items.
    4. Select Cookies and make sure that other items you want to keep are not selected.

    5. Click Clear Now to clear the cookies and close the Clear Recent History window.
    1. Click on the Tools menu and select Clear Private Data....
    2. Click to select Cookies and make sure that other items you want to keep are not selected.
    3. Click Clear Private Data Now to clear the cookies and close the Clear Private Data window.
