The Google toolbar will work with Firefox5, it just detects Firefox 5 and thinks it is not compatible. The simplest solution is to install and run the add on compatibility reporter

Others have tried this and it does work please try it yourself, if it works log in and click on the helpful post to confirm the solution works, that will help others find the answer.

I agree that Firefox aught to be offering better advice with these upgrades, and I consider Firefox Updater should check and advise what is being disabled before the upgrade completes, not after the upgrade. (Especially when firefox is not supporting reverting to the uninstalled version.)

How many people have turned off auto update after their Google toolbar disappeared with version 5!?

Hello every1 all i did to get the google toolbar back is to add-on the, compatibility reporter to firefox 5 install it, Then re-install the google toolbar, + hey-pesto google toolbar was back!!!!!!!!
