I use this website, farmtowngifts.com, to stock up on items needed for the facebook game farmtown. I downloaded update for firefox tonight because it was continually crashing on me and after installing the update, the all-in-one click feature for that website doesn't work anymore.

I'm surprised that page worked in earlier versions of Firefox. It uses a script to click on links, which has not worked for a long time as far as I know.

There are at least two add-ons that can take actions on multiple links. I haven't tested either of them, but you could check them out:

Multi Links :: Add-ons for Firefox

Selection Links :: Add-ons for Firefox

the site still works on desktop and other laptop, but the all in one thing doesnt work with update of firefox. The individual links on the pages still work, just not the all in one thing

Is there a link where I could just re-download an earlier version of Firefox? The other laptop I use has version 3. something and the site works fine on it.

Yes, the all-in-one never should have worked because it is a security risk for a script to be able to click links. Not sure why it worked before.

Do you really prefer to go back to 3.6 rather than try one of the add-ons? They look easy to use and would work on any bunch of links you want to open simultaneously, whether there is a all-in-one link or not.

Here's the process to roll back to 3.6:

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older

Close Firefox 5.

You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.

Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.

Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

@cassyzerbe, use the mouse to select the area of links you want to launch all at once, then right-click the selection and choose Selection Open. (Screen shot example attached.)

jscher2000 - I wanted to thank you for your advice.. I downloaded the multi links add on and it's doing the job. However..I don't have to right click the selection and choose Selection Open. I just right click and draw the square over the links I want opened and when I let go they automatically open. thanks again for your help. much appreciated.

Actually, starting in Firefox 4, the Status Bar has been replaced by the Add-ons Bar. To display it, if it isn't already at the bottom of the browser window, use

View menu > Toolbars > Add-on Bar

If you have the orange Firefox button (compact menus), tap the Alt key to display the classic menu bar so you can access the full View menu.

The way Multilinks works is: instead of selecting the links with the left mouse button held down, you use the right mouse button. During this, you should see a dotted green rectangle around the links. When you complete your selection and release the button, new tabs will appear for each link in the selection.

Any luck?

That sounds like the Selection Links add-on. You only need to keep one of the two add-ons, whichever you prefer.
