I can no longer send event reminder notifications by email
I have been using Thunderbird calendar synced to gmail a/c on Linux Mint for many years and have been able to send reminder notifications by email. Recently I had to unsubscribe my calendar and reinstall to clear a fault and the notification by email function has disappeared from Thunderbird event notifications. Can you tell me how to restore that function?
Version 140.11.1esr

Thanks for your response. I know I found a setting for this 2 or more years back, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was!
However, problem solved as per the attached image by restoring from Timeshift from one week ago, before I unsubscribed and reinstalled calendar to try to fix original issue (Reminder notifications for one particular past event 3mths ago!)
Sadly, that annoying issue has returned to pester me but it’s tolerable for now.
Same problem that I just reposted. So forgive me for adding here as well!
I've been using Thunderbird and its Calendar for MANY years very happily :-) My old main computer is a w7 Lap and the Thunderbird Calendar in that version has the option to set up a Reminder Notification via Email. And it still works with no problem! I just was given a used Laptop computer that I did a clean install of w11 on, and installed Thunderbird and setup the Thunderbird Calendar to my Google Calendar with NO problems! EXCEPT: I just created a New Event and a Reminder for it, and to my chagrin, there is NO option to be notified by Email anymore !!! grrrrrr :-( Please, I beg the developers to reinstate that option ! I use that for every event that I create! eg I take MEDS and when I get the email reminder, I can delete the Email reminder to show myself that I've taken that med at that time !!!! Please advise ! THANK YOU! PS I use a 3rd party Calendar on my iphone that thankfully still allows me to send myself an email Reminder/notification as I desire !
I've asked this before to no response. I JUST did a new search and found a users solution that I just tried to no avail. Which was to add the Provider for Google Calendar Extension, then unsubscribe and resubscribe to my Calendars! The old W7 version of the Calendar had the ability to have a Reminder EMAILED to oneself! That option with the new W11 version has disappeared! Can someone please ask the Coders to re include this option! THANK YOU! I 'LIVE" by this option! My Iphone 3rd party Calendar thankfully still has this option! But I would LOVE to have this back on my W11 Laptop in the Thunderbird Calendar!

I have Thunderbird 140 and 152 on my windows 11 and I don't have this problem.
Is it possible that you have more than 1 calendar and one of them is a local one ( not network : for example Google, yahoo etc ), and your default calendar is not the Network calendar.
