can't receive emails
Every time I try to sign into my email I get a message that says I can't sign in and to retry or cancel or something. I can see my emails on the ifiber page on the internet but not on my email computer. I also have some vision problems so it's difficult to troubleshoot on the computer. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

check the following on computer:
Firewall Access firewall - it might be the default that came with computer or controlled by an Anti-Virus you installed. Thunderbird must be set up as an allowed program.
VPN Check to see if you have enabled a VPN. Some Anti-Virus products now offer a VPN and in some cases it gets auto enabled. Servers do not like VPN because it hides your IP address and so server thinks you might be a hacker and so blocks access. Switch off VPN.
Then in Thunderbird - Check your Server Settings.
- In 'Account Settings'
- Select 'Server Settings'
For POP Mail Server Incoming
- Server name : mail.ifiber.tv
- Port : 995
- User Name: full email address (check there are no errors )
- Connection Security: SSL/TLS
- Authentication Method: Normal Password
SMTP:
- Server name : mail.ifiber.tv
- Port : 465
- User Name: full email address (check there are no errors )
- Connection Security: SSL/TLS
- Authentication Method: Normal Password
Check to see what you got currently stored for password and username:
- Settings > Privacy & Security
- Scroll down to 'Passwords' section
- Click on 'Saved Passwords' button
- Click on 'Show Passwords' button
- If 'Windows Security' window asks for password - when you start up computer and it asks for password to logon to desktop - that is the password you need to enter.
Check the lines for pop incoming and smtp outgoing: 'mailbox://account... and the smtp://account... Is the user name all lowercase and is it the full email address ? Is the stored password correct ? It must be the same password you use to logon to see webmail - the ifiber page on the internet.
If anything is wrong right click on the relevant line and select 'Edit Username' and/or 'Edit Password' as required. It's probably worth re entering the password anyway.
- So use 'Edit Password' and then clear all contents, Carefully type the correct password remembering that passwords are case sensitive.
- click on 'Close'
Then you need to Exit / close down Thunderbird, wait a few moments and then restart Thunderbird.
