Thunderbird wants to access my GMail contacts

I have asked this question before but, I am still unable to resolve this. I have folks tell me to adjust my GMail settings -- if that is the case, then why is the message saying Thunderbird wants to access my GMail contacts....see attachment.

I have looked at all settings in TB and GMail to no avail. Every time that I bring up the TB client it asks me. Whether I allow it or deny it.

check your addressbook pane. is there an addressbook there that relates to gmail? as a second comment, you abandoned your prior thread, as people there were attempting to assist you in resolving this. This forum works best when users stick to the original post through to a resolution.
