In the past I was able to create a list, give it a name (Current Events). To address my group I put "Current in the "To" box and all my group emails would be addressed. It doesn't work any more. What happened?

In a new email, select 'Contact' (top right). On the left select the correct contact list. Use Ctrl+A to select all the names Select 'Add to To:' at the bottom or drag the list into the To: field
