Is it possible to go back to an older version of Thunderbird? The new version without the columns is annoying. I like to sort via columns and can't with the 6.0 version. I'm also not thrilled with the vertical scroll bars that like to play peek-a0boo with you. Just leave then there. Stop being fancy.

Yes, you can revert to a prior version. Uninstall the current version and when asked whether the data files should be removed, reply NO, as you want to preserve the profile. To be totally safe, you might want to make a copy of the profile also. Then, download and install your preferred version. If you receive a message that the profile is incompatible after installing the older version, look for a file named compatibility.ini and delete it.
