The first correspondence I had from Microsoft was to use OAuth but a later one was to use Normal Password. I'm barely tech literate but can follow clear directions. What is the latest/correct procedure? Thanks for any and all help!

Stick with the Oauth2 reminder. If email isn't working, post screenshots of incoming and outgoing server settings pane.
