layout of Home page bookmarks

may i please ask for advice and guidance. i have just reloaded Mozilla Firefox onto my Windows 7 laptop. the previous bookmarks are listed under bookmarks on the right hand but are not permanent on the screen. on the previous issue the bookmarks were permanently located on the left hand side and easy to refer to. i am not a techie. could someone please help in plain simple language ( i apologise for this). thankyou in advance. andrew

You can open the bookmarks sidebar.

"Ctrl+B" is the keyboard shortcut to toggle the Bookmarks Sidebar. "Ctrl+Shift+B" is the keyboard shortcut to toggle the Bookmarks Toolbar. "Ctrl+Shift+O" is the keyboard shortcut to open the Library.
