Until today my I was able to use 48.0.2 for all bank operations. Now there are limitations. Someone said that I can download 45.9.0esr. Is this version more advanced. PS On mt MacBook 10.6.8 is the latest and last version I can use. Thanks Philip

Firefox 45.9.0esr was released later then Firefox 40.0.2, so has more security fixes, but it is based upon the older Firefox 45 release. If you are no longer able to access your bank website with Firefox 48 then you are probably out of luck with your old Mac 10.6 OS version. Current releases require MAC OS X 10.9 and later and I assume that other browsers like Safari and Google Chrome aren't working as well.

The only alternative would be to install a Linux distribution.
