The Browser completely blocks up and turns black & blue

My firefox will be working normally when suddenly showing on the page will turn completely black, and the browser area where the tabs & web address would be is completely blue. The mouse still works so I can just close the window and reopen it again 2min later but it happens enough times where I get annoyed. What's causing this problem and how can I fix it?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
