I recently discovered this issue from Reddit which may looks similar to the previous issue with YouTube we've seen in 103.
I don't have anymore infor atm, but maybe this is something we need to keep an eye on.

Our support article on how to enable this has been deprecated, but some users still remember. Firefox 104 has a parsing bug and isn't able to import the file.
I don't think there is an obvious workaround at the moment.

Hi, I encounter lots of issues with 104.0 (64-bit), on Win10, 64. Especially when trying to load YT. In general, EVERYTHING slowed down dramatically. Of course, I haven't changed any settings beforehand and I don't have the time trying to figure out why the heck it's borked and what is causing it.
ETA
Trying that from reddit:
"panoptigram. 3 days ago
Firefox 104 introduced some new video performance improvements, you can disable them by going to about:config and changing media.wmf.zero-copy-nv12-texture and gfx.direct3d11.reuse-decoder-device to false then restart."
-> solved it, at least the biggest issues with YT. Still, YT loads slow as hell

In the dutch forum is also a report of this issue. i am checking if the about:config changes noted in the reddit treat are a temporary solution for this user.

We are releasing 104.0.1 today, mainly to fix YouTube freezing issue that we talked about the other day. More info is on the 104 sprint wikipage.
Hey folks,
We are releasing 104.0.1 today, mainly to fix YouTube freezing issue that we talked about the other day. More info is on the [https://wiki.mozilla.org/Support/Firefox104 104 sprint wikipage].
Looks like there may be something going on in V104 related to those YouTube issues. Not 100% sure but saw this Reddit thread that got pretty busy with votes and replies:

I have had confirmation from the Product team looking into this issue that we should not be telling users to flip media.wmf.zero-copy-nv12-texture and gfx.direct3d11.reuse-decoder-device - this will not help and may very make the situation much worse.

I have been talking with Dianna who is on the Release Management team. She noted that the 'necko' team would like to request HTTP logs to investigate the issue further regarding the V104 issues I noted in the Reddit thread above.
I am waiting on a bug to be submitted so we know where to put the logs if we have users that are experiencing this and can provide them.

You'right. The feature is disabled atm due to performance issue (see this KB discussion) and we don't have any workaround for that. We're archiving the article in the meantime until the the functionality get fixed.

If you've seen a report, please ask if they're interested in helping us with the https logs and share the log to bug 1788557. Thank you!
Hey folks,
Regarding the YouTube issue, the product team is interested in getting https logs to help them debug the issue. You can see the instruction on how to get the https logs from the following page: https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/networking/http/logging.html
If you've seen a report, please ask if they're interested in helping us with the https logs and share the log to [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1788557 bug 1788557]. Thank you!
Just a quick update to say that I have had confirmation that the YouTube issue has been resolved - it was an issue at the YT end, not in Fx. If you see any new issues relating to YT, they are new and unconnected to what we have been seeing recently.

They can also force an update. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-update-add-ons#w_updating-add-ons. Do you think it's worth sharing this on social media?
