Well this is just a busy week of OS Upgrades. Yesterday OS X 10.9 was released as a Free upgrade for all Mac users running 10.6 or higher on compatible hardware. So expect so see a lot of users with this new OS very quickly. I'm not anticipating problems (I updated yesterday and Release and Nightly both work fine for me so far) but if there are any issues please let us know! Thanks!

This is an issue with scrolling that affects other browsers besides Firefox. Here's the solution that posted in both the Google Chrome and Apple support forums:
System Preferences -> General -> Show Scroll Bars -> click "Always".

EDIT:
Disabling the two-finger "swipe between pages" gesture in system preferences is also reported as a Firefox workaround, in this related Mozilla bug report:

Nothing posted yet on this in the support forum here but I found this posted Oct 25, 2013 on Microsoft's Silverlight 5 forum:
Silverlight on MAC new Mavericks upgrade + Safari or Firefox Quote: I use Silverlight 5 for my invoice program at work.We use MAC computers. I have tried both Safari 7.0 and Firefox 24.0 but now after the Apple Mavericks update I can't get Silverlight to work!
Posted in the same thread on Oct 26, 2013: Quote: I am experiencing the same behaviour since I upgraded to Mavericks and with EVERY browser, Safari, Chrome, Firefox, when I try to load a movie it stays stuck at 98 percent loading on the red screen...no matter if I reinstall Silverlight and also no matter if I authorise Silverlight in EVERY setting and with EVERY option.

The two-finger scroll gesture stopped working for Firefox on the trackpad and on the Bluetooth magic mouse (Macbook pro, retina, late 2012, 13 inches). It works with Safari.

An Italian user on our support forum had this issue with the magic mouse after updating Firefox and the OS X to Mavericks.
I told him to verify if something changed in the mouse gestures options (Apple menu/System preferences/Mouse). He discovered that the "two fingers" option was unchecked. An Italian user on our support forum had this issue with the magic mouse after updating Firefox and the OS X to Mavericks.<br>I told him to verify if something changed in the mouse gestures options (Apple menu/System preferences/Mouse). I am having same problem. When I first open Firefox - the scroll seems to work on my homepage. However, as soon as I go into Facebook or Yahoo Mail - the scrolling function does not work from my Mac Book Trackpad. Incredibly frustrating. Have tried all suggested fixes --- doesn't work!

Hi leslierig,
It is probably worth you posting about that in the support forum. Someone may be able to find a solution- Please use /questions/new
- Please try to follow the prompts and include troubleshooting info when you do that. (There is a green button to automate the process. Use that, or if you encounter problems doing so mention that in the new thread.)
- You may wish to post back here; afterwards; to confirm you started a new thread. Others may wish to follow it.
